Exhibit at Art’s House Gallery

Art’s House Gallery presents a variety of group, thematic, and individual shows throughout the year. Watch for our Call for Artist announcements on this site and on our social media. Or if you are interested in exhibiting at Art’s House Gallery, complete the Featured Artists application. Applications for 2027 Featured Artists are open until Friday, August 14. Artists will be notified of selection as a 2027 featured artist by Friday, August 28. 

Art’s House Gallery is a community space for community artists managed by the River Falls Community Art Base (CAB), a nonprofit organization dedicated to facilitating arts-related events and projects in and around the community of River Falls, Wisconsin. We are always looking for new projects to take on and encourage anyone interested in supporting the arts in our community to become involved by exhibiting work in our gallery, volunteering to staff our gallery during open hours, making a donation, or becoming a member.

Our Neighbors’ Place Empty Bowls Fundraiser

Our Neighbors' Place is glad to announce its third annual Empty Bowls fundraiser this fall, on October 15th.  The event will raise dollars to fight hunger in River Falls.  

There are two main programs of Our Neighbors' Place that address hunger and food insecurity in our area - the Backpack Program (food support for families with school aged children) for the River Falls School District.  We've seen a huge increase in families needing this help.  In addition, we give out food resources through our Day Center - and again, we are seeing an increase in requests for this food too.

We are looking for local potters, crafters or woodworkers who may consider donating bowls and bowl-like items for this event.  Here are the event details:

  • Event:  Empty Bowls Benefitting Our Neighbors’ Place, Inc.

  • Date:  Thu, Oct 15, 2026 from 5-7pm

  • Location:  St Bridget's Church in River Falls

  • Donation Ask:  any number of bowls or equivalent . We are hoping to get all commitments by Sept 7th to include in press material. 

  • Donation Drop-off:  Bowls and your business card(s) may be dropped off at 103 N Main Street, River Falls (the old PeekaBoo Boxing, our temporary location)  up until Oct. 9.  Or call us at 715-426-9000 to make other arrangements.

In exchange for a bowl donation, we will include mention of the name of the artist or business in news releases and social media.  Attendees will be able to take home a bowl of their choice that includes the artist's business card from the event.

Tattersall Winter Market

Calling all makers, artists, local brands and small businesses! Vendor applications are officially open for Tattersall’s annual Winter Market in River Falls. Join us for one of our festive market weekends:

November 28–29 | 11 AM–4 PM
December 12–13 | 11 AM–4 PM

Mental Health in Art

What does the landscape of mental illness look like? What does the face or the faces of mental illness look like?  What does mental health treatment look like? Our local NAMI – St. Croix (National Alliance on Mental Illness) is sponsoring an art exhibit on Art and Mental Health. Visual artists who have looked at mental health and it’s challenges from a distance or close up are encouraged to exhibit.

The timeline for this show is April–June 2027. That gives artists plenty of time to reflect, create and get their art gallery ready.  All art has to be framed with a museum wire on the back to hang it. Along with each piece of artwork, include a tag that identifies what aspect of mental health /illness / or treatment that the artist is depicting.

Holiday Gift Gallery

The 2026 Holiday Gift Gallery will be Thursday, November 12 through Saturday, December 26. Look for artist applications opening Friday, June 30. Deadline to apply will be Friday, September 18. Artists will be notified by Friday, September 25.

Art’s House Gallery Gift Boutique

Art’s House Gallery is looking for original handmade works priced up to $75 to be part of our gallery’s gift shop area. Clothing, home goods, and accessories as well as smaller-scale two-dimensional and sculptural works all do well.  Artists and craftspeople of all media interested in sharing their work for two to four six-month periods can apply here.

Swinging Bridge Brewery Featured Artists

The Swinging Bridge Brewery is starting a partnership with CAB to be a location for monthly artist spotlights.  This spotlight will feature one artist exclusively for three to four weeks beginning on the first Sunday of the month.  The brewery will hold a Meet and Greet from 3-6pm, on the first Sunday, for the artist to invite their guests and be available to talk about their work. 

 The brewery will provide wall space for 6-10 pieces, depending on size.  Ladders and basic hanging supplies will be provided.  The artist is responsible for hanging all work; timeline for hanging work will be arranged with the brewer.  The brewery will not take a commission; therefore, the artist is responsible for all sales of their work.  The brewery holds no liability for any damages, or theft of artwork. 

 For consideration, please send four images of current artwork to matt@swingingbrigdebrewing.com and cory@swinginbridgebrewing.com.  Artists will be considered on an ongoing basis.  You will be notified of acceptance at least one month before the exhibition.  Please indicate if there are preferred months or a month that does not work for you in your application.  The first date is May 4th, 2025.  

  • Installation: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 9am-2pm

  • Take down: Monday, Tuesday 9am-2pm

  • Artwork must be wired or able to hang on a ½ inch wide hanger.  

  • Artists are highly encouraged to attend the “Meet and Greet” and invite their friends/collectors.

Ellsworth Public Library Seeking Artists and Instructors

The Ellsworth Public Library is often looking for artists, presenters and/or leaders to teach, present and/or lead classes or talks around a variety of subjects. The library has a once-a-month Tuesday program in partnership with our Senior Center that a one-off art class would be perfect for, a once-a-month Doodle Club for ages 9-12, and a once-a-month Teen Meetup that would be a great place for some art education. The library is also set to move into a larger space later this fall that will have a Maker Space and other areas of creativity that will be perfect for guest artists. There will also be a number of dedicated art walls, which can host monthly local art exhibitions.
