Artful Thought Project - Keep Imaginations Alive

Narrative Art - Create Art with Poetry

A workshop in three parts designed for high school and college students to create an art piece influenced by the style of local artist and poet River Maria Urke, who will be featured in August at Art’s House Gallery. Students will learn to create outside the box by integrating art of any type and poetry with natural materials and lost & found items, fostering creativity and artistic expression.

• Location: Art’s House Gallery, Riverwalk Square, 127 N Main St.

• Instructors: River Maria Urke, featured artist & local poet; Cheryl Maplethorpe, local artist

• Dates: July 30, August 6, August 13, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

• Class size: First five high school / college students to sign up

Maker’s Table

Let’s get together as a community of makers! Bring your sketchbook, drawing supplies, small painting, print-making, fiber-based project, or any materials that inspire you. All are welcome, regardless of experience!
